Chile’s 1981 reform shifted pensions from DB → DC. Workers already employed were compensated for pre-reform contributions, creating a policy-driven kink in cohort-level pension wealth. We exploit this kink with a Regression Kink Design (RKD) to identify the causal effect on health investments.
