Conservatism has a prerequisite - you have to sustain your compassion. I’ve found that there’s a lot of justifying, debating, and counterpoints until you inevitably reach the point where the only argument I hear is “well sucks to suck I guess.”

Woah. Around 80% in now. Enthralled by how Westover speaks about indoctrination without calling it so from two perspectives: What she believes from her extremist Mormon upbringing vs unlearning and deconstructing with the “evil socialist” college elites. A belief held today by too many people.
