I enjoy sci-fi (especially Star Trek) and games (especially Nintendo), and a variety of TV shows. I also do a bit of crafts (origami and knitting). he/him
Funny how these two songs kinda bookended my summer and had the same line

Never watched DBZ so thank you for making this account that made me aware they apparently used the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine font.

My mom is trying to pitch me on Matlock's grandson on the CBS Matlock reboot as the actor to play Steven Universe if there were to be a live action Steven Universe remake. And like, she's pitching HARD like I somehow would want a live action Steven Universe to be a thing and could make it happen.

Can't believe Myst tricked me into trying to remember modulus arithmetic, and then made me annoyed with the real solution.

(Been trying it for the first time, and have mostly been having fun!)

This is probably my favorite love poem I’ve read. Could it be I just really like oranges? For real though, it just beautifully captures how love can change the way you experience the world.

Happy Valentine’s Day. I wish you love in your life, in one of the very many forms that love takes.

This series doesn't make any goddamn sense

Why are you calling me out like this, Google?

Wait, who told the composer of the Fields of Mistria title screen music to go so hard? Total classic SNES RPG vibes, I love it!

23. Onion Delivery

Tank controls in a top down driving game aren't my favorite. However, the game has a certain whimsy between the layout of its city and zany scenarios like zombie or alien invasions. And that elevates it considerably

22. Porgy

A cartoony game where you gather items to let your submarine go deeper and deeper, enabling greater exploration. Fun, at least to a point, but other titles did this loop in a way that hooked me better.

21. Waldorf's Journey

Unusually meditative and sometimes unsettling vibes are found in the least likely of places: a platformer where you jump from platform to platform as a Walrus, collecting seashells.

20. Warp Tank

A pseudo puzzle platformer where You play as a tank that is glued to whatever wall it is on, but has the ability to teleport to whatever wall it is opposite to. using this mechanic, it weaves deftly between puzzling and action.

19. The Big Bell Race

In UFO 50's metanarrative, Campanella was a smash hit, and this was then the hastily made racing game version of Campanella to capitalize on its success. Although purposefully so, it feels like a bare bones cash grab.

18. Golfaria

Golfaria is a top down exploration game where you play as a golf ball with limited strokes. As such, there's a tension in its exploration. This is initially frustrating, but really fun once you gain more strokes and it starts to open up.

17. Campanella

Carefully feather your thrusters as you pilot the Campanella, a UFO, though mazes very carefully; collision with anything spells instant death! The result is a compelling arcadelike experience.

16. Camouflage

This puzzle game where you are a chameleon changing colors to hide from predators sadly only clicked with me slightly more than Block Koala.

15. Block Koala

This is a push block puzzle game and by all rights I should be this game's target audience, and yet it's one of the collection's rare misses for me.

14. Bushido Ball

Tennis with swords and a fighting game flavor. So much fun that it makes the lack of online multiplayer sting.

13. Mooncat

Mooncat has weird controls like Getting Over It or QWOP, but is so much kinder with a smooth difficulty curve and frequent checkpoints. One of my favorites.
December 9, 2024 at 4:45 AM
12. Avianos

Conquer the land as a bird civilization, taking strength from your dino ancestors. This plays like a board game in the best way possible.
December 8, 2024 at 1:07 AM
11. Kick Club

Clear each screen of sports-themed enemies by hitting a soccer ball into them in this compelling, kinetic experience.
December 8, 2024 at 1:05 AM
10. Devilition

Set out explosives one by one, then detonate them to unleash a chain reaction and kill demons. It sounds more fun than it ended up being for me, but is still solid.

9. Attactics

An RTS where your units automatically enter and advance. All you can do is rearrange them in your five second turns. Pure chaos, pure bliss.
