One of my goals for 2025 is to take my wonderful #SteamDeck off my shelf and actually use the damn thing. I already know it's great and own so many Steam games but something always stops me from reaching for it. Maybe in the next year, I can figure out what my problem is.

The financial failure of #Elevation has to be mostly due to the poor marketing, no? Sure, it didn't get the best reviews but the two leads actors are likable and it was an original IP. Case in Point: a few days before this opened, I didn't know what it was. Also, terrible title.

Apparently, #RidleyScott shot #Gladiator2 in 51 days. If true, that is more astonishing than anything in the film.

Congrats to Oppenheimer, Flower Moon and Poor Things for 34 Oscar Nominations between them. And also for elbowing all other films aside and making the upcoming Oscars 2024 possibly one of the most boring, predictable events in Hollywood history.

Good for whomever was behind the decision to campaign Lily Gladstone as Best Actress and not in the safer Best Supporting Actress category, a gamble that paid off wonderfully today. Good luck to Gladstone in this last leg of the Oscars 2024 race:)

I'm most sincerely happy for the five noms that The Holdovers received as I was afraid it was going to get lost in the Oscars 2024 shuffle. With critically acclaimed films from some of the biggest legends in filmmaking this year, it held its own and got what it deserved:)

The small, black and white, foreign language El Conde being nominated for Best Cinematography amongst four powerhouses are truly the Oscar moments I live for and is why I still tune in year after year. #Oscars2024

Interesting that aside from Cillian Murphy and Robert Downey Jr., Emily Blunt was the only other actor to be nominated for Oppenheimer. Christopher Nolan still can't write women to save his life and her one big scene towards the end feels so manufactured to please.
