You have to let artists take inspiration. Learn from other's process. Do people forget that you dont just learn from staring at a white wall? Everyone is a culmination of the art styles that inspire us. It's been like that since the beginning of time.

Also, I went on a deep dive to see examples of what she's seeing as "bastardizing" and its not bad at all at all. Like not even close. There are people who ride the line on tracing (i've seen it with artists inspired by my stuff before) but that line CANNOT be that gray.

She claimed this other artist admitted to copying her stuff. But like, think about it. An artist you admire and are inspired by, with enough of a following to delete your reputation for life, approaches you to stop "copying" them. Yeah I'd apologize with my tail between my legs to.

Zelda manga, id be saying a similar thing if it was hyped up and budgeted as highly as this movie.
Calendars and figures are personal collectible items to represent the thing you like. Theyre not trying to adapt the zelda expierence to a calendar.
