@neilhimself.neilgaiman.com The above comment is an example of an account trying to silence him. They pretend to be fans long-term to astroturf news on Zhang Zhehan.
For official news, see for example this article by the most prestigious Singapore newspaper: www.straitstimes.com/life/enterta...

(And last but not least, if you have the time, the documentary itself will show how important it is for his story to be heard. It is a story about learning to move on despite continuing violence, about refusing to disappear, and about the importance of holding on to one's name and identity.)

Fin. If your reason for removing the repost was something else, I apologize for my incorrect assumption. But if it was because of those comments, as a fan of Zhang Zhehan I ask you to reconsider, to let his story be heard.

Cont. He has also shared a promotional article to many English-language media, for example

Cont. He even hired a team to add English subtitles to the documentary to make it as accessible as possible and posted it on Youtube to widen its reach. He also held a watch party yesterday to try to encourage more people to see it, and will hold a livestream on Instagram today to discuss it.

Cont. Mr. Zhang is working incredibly hard to try to promote August, and it is important to him that as many people as possible see it. He has paid for the documentary and all its publicity from his own pocket and spent two years on editing it.

Cont. Comments attempting to silence him get posted under every post from a bigger account promoting it. They claim that sharing it is somehow against his wishes or they use some other excuse. Sometimes it seems they're hacked/bought fan accounts, sometimes bots.

Dear Sir Gaiman, I can't be sure why you removed your repost of Zhang Zhehan's August, but if it was because of people claiming he doesn't want it to be shared, please reconsider. You sharing the link to his documentary truly meant a lot.
