If you picked a real number between 2 and 3 at random, I would never be able to guess it. But I could be certain it's not 4. I don't need to know the exact math that a specific neuron does to say that it's not producing personhood. Because producing personhood simply isn't in the options.

Yup. Many treat MLK Jr and Malcolm X as rivals with incompatible views. The reality is that part of what makes things like MLK's March on Washington effective is the implied threat of a quarter million people upset enough that many are a stone's throw away from becoming Panthers themselves.

We have literal years to find someone to nominate who isn't 99% Hitler. The choice doesn't have to be between 99% Hitler and 100% Hitler. We could nominate 0% Hitler and then vote for that person instead!

It's my understanding that it's basically this. The fae are so fundamentally different from humans that if you became one, whatever came out the other side wouldn't really be "you" anymore.

all this to say: when i see a monster like this be like "ACTUALLY this kid had cf, which explains how fucked up he looks" i feel a type of rage that burns so deep i don't even have words for it. he looks like that because he lacks access to the treatment he needs because israel wants him to die

Precursor might be in the ballpark? I'm pretty sure you could call opium a precursor chemical to heroin, but I'm less sure if you'd say poppies are a precursor to opium

Would it be accurate to say that Chuck Tingle and the person "behind the bag" are similar to Superman and Clark Kent? That is, Chuck and the other person are both real but separate identities "played" by the same person, but who offer different things to the world, themselves, and their loved ones?
