What we are weary of is a vanguard party that reconstitutes the capitalist class as a poltiboro or other asymmetrical distribution of power. The word liberty/libertarian means freedom that does not impinge on the freedom of others. Where as freedom as a word does not have any implied limit.

I'm not saying the tech itself should be thrown out. But if the problem can't be solved and continue to compound, the damages could be massive to the global working class.

We can't do away with ip until we have food water and shelter as a birthright. This also disregards the profiteering the ai companies are engaged in. It also creates a new class of digital serf that is dependent on tech because they lack education/resources.

There is a realization that the ethical problems with AI are real. And if they aren't addressed more problems will arise. Using massive amounts of power/water for machine learning. Ethical issues with the datasets that have never been addressed. It's not desperation.
