I've noticed that ChatGPT in general likes to cover it's bases and won't actually admit that it doesn't/can't actually know the answer to a given question. It seems like it's classic brute force computation applied to guessing.

The car effectively shoved itself under the safety barrier and split in half. Needless to say after this incident F1 races don’t use this type of barrier anymore and the way cars are built is different too.

2020 Bahrain Grand Prix. Romain Grosjean crashes out in a literal blaze of glory. At the time nobody knew if he lived or died. Thankfully he was ok and still races.
