Based on the article I’d say I agree with you. True asylum seekers are a different matter. But since so many use asylum wrongly it’s hard to distinguish and maybe stories like this are inevitable because of it.

I truly believe that everyone needs to be here legally or be deported. The offer of $1000 for self deportation is there with a pathway to coming back legally. There is no way to know which immigrants are here to help or to hurt. I believe we need to protect our country and I believe this is the way
