Is this a troll account? Maybe DDOT should clear sidewalks instead of telling pedestrians how to move around to not inconvenience drivers.

Right, I didn’t really mean to formally go on strike, but as you say to call in sick - not just some individuals but a significant amount. there are too few workers, if all of them call in sick on one day do they want to fire all of them?

It’s mind blowing that ATC controllers aren’t going on strike for this. Can you imagine the power ATC controllers have if all of them said: “Pay us or we’re going on strike.” What do they want to do, fire all ATC controllers and train new ones?

Every country that stops stamping passports should add an optional passport stamp booth after passport control to allow people to add a proper stamp to their passport.

In Europe it’s a requirement I think do had the window shades open for takeoff and landing, it was very confusing when flying in the US for the first time that this is not the case here.

It is terrifying that it is so openly communicated what’s the reason for this redistricting, and no one on the republican side sees any problem with that. No one is even pretending to claim there is another reason behind this.

I thought that this fee was the CBP fee? Because in the end every passenger pays the same when booking an international flight, independent of citizenship and residence status. But when a visitor enters the US by land, they have to pay the fee (while citizens and residents don't).

Right, I misunderstood that, sorry (I read it as the opposite, that the I94 fee is in addition to the $250 but it's actually the other way around as you say)

But the article says that this fee will be increased form $6 to $24, not to $250, and I think this fee has so far been included in the ticket price when booking a flight to the US (and I believe are also paid by US citizens when it’s a flight as there’s no price difference?).

Isn’t another issue for passengers that as long as it’s delayed the delay can also be reduced? So if I see this delay now I’d go to sleep at home or at a hotel and get to the airport at the estimated time, but theoretically United could say at 6am that the delay is reduced and plane is leaving now?

Does this location make sense for this warning though? I mean: Would you even be able to check in and go through security if you don’t have the travel authorizarion? So if you made it to this part of the airport, you should be good to fly (except for people with multiple tickets maybe).

What about then Joint Ventures, like the one between United and Lufthansa? I thought they share cost and revenues on those flights?
