Mandates are for getting the opposition party on board with popular presidents, but the Ds are effectively powerless against the influence the Rs have at every level.

The sooner we realize this, the sooner we realize the kind of fight we’re in for, and the sooner we can properly prepare.

Trump supporters have been around for nearly a decade. We shared Facebook with them, we shared Twitter, and we hung on when they turned it into X.

They have proven, time and again, that civil discourse is not what they’re interested in. We have no interest in continuing to oblige them.

This starts off as a solid take but ultimately misses the mark.

She’s right that those voters will never agree with the left’s identity politics.

She’s wrong that a populist economic policy won’t entice them to vote blue.

The overfocus on identity has been our downfall.
