I lived with my dad when I was very young and he didn’t apply for food stamps or free school lunches, though we qualified.

So, I went hungry. It was awful. I begged neighbors for saltine crackers. I can say it was the worst time of my life.

Children shouldn’t go hungry. Restore SNAP benefits.

I realized no one else is doing the work of speaking to mainly rural folks in the heartland. Call me the Temu AOC, but I think helping regular folks fight the oligarchy is worthwhile.

Such a great compliment for our work with The Outrun Coalition across rural America from @piperformissouri.bsky.social who's one of the Democratic party's most prominent rural leaders.

Congrats to @MoDemParty on winning a bunch of local elections from Rolla, to Pollock, Baldwin, Atlanta, St. Clair and everywhere in between! Rural organizing works.

The fact that dupage county democrats literally won 100% of their elections and flipped 38 seats is not just outstanding it beckons the future.

There's gonna be overperformànces across the country in local elections this year, and I think we're gonna see again another trend of rural communities swinging back the strongest towards the democratic party. This happened in 2018.

Rural organizing doesn't work on social media in the way that people think it should. Rural organizing in many communities is digital organizing and the platforms needed to do that work are outdated.

I find it really fascinating when white men invoke the emotions of people of color to try and invalidate arguments around diversity issues within progressive spaces. That's all this is.

The thing about Orejel is that they're not really experienced in campaign work and so they go from platitude to platitude about how we're supposed to build political movements. This dude was literally saying the opposite a month after the election.
