This debate has been going on for a while with people saying "leave the kids alone" and assuming someone is only at the apex of maturity at 18 or early 20s. Not to mention the issues on puberty and such that can come into this.

Still controversial, but that's also when I noticed friends transitioned. I feel like once you hit your teens you start having yourself figured out more.

Plenty of people I know came out gay at around the middle school to highschool mark.

Though I'm on the fence about going any younger than that.

I'm sure they exist, but I seldom ever see this kind of stuff in the Sonic fandom. I feel like we are good at gatekeeping this sort of content. But this is one of the one things that repelled me from the mlp fandom at large.

I think what ultimately bugs me is the sort of victim mentality.

It's always framed as protecting women and girls too. Like, are boys below influence if they see a trans woman enter the bathroom?
