To swipe a ridiculous 80s phrase, "Just Say No." Try buying from local small businesses/crafters this year. Or make your own stuffs. I promise I will be just as delighted with a handmade blanket as I would be a store-bought one. Probably moreso because you cared enough to think of me. 🙂

Hard disagree. 80s - early 90s was the sweet spot for some of the best music, especially 1987 - 1991. 2000 - 2007ish was mostly crap. Also the late 90s boy bands and pop tarts like Britney Spears. Yuck.

As a Gen X I reject the first part of this sentence. HATED grunge. I'd say we were more like hair metal and glam rock. But your second part is apt.
