Some more trash on the internet of keeping a pretty place as such.

2 bags. Which is beautiful since I havent been able to make it out as much as possible. Looked clean when I got there, all shown here as stuff from the bushes and cracks.

Have a beautiful day!

8 bags today.

Got interviewed again! I'll put a link up when it comes out. Hopefully I didnt ramble too much.

I have a hard time defining why I do this. Which is part of the fun

7 bags. Met some of the amazing FOW staff today. I barely had the beach swept before these two efficiently cleaned the sides of the gorge They got the hard part done before I could take a stroll. It was impressive and appreciated. Thank you, and well done.

19 bags, and barely a dent made. There is a FOW cleanup tomorrow, they will not be bored.

I was interviewed today! Two very nice people from the FOW walked and talked a little with me this morning. hopefully I made some sense.

lots left to do,

No cleanups until the strike is resolved. I stand with Philly's sanitation workers and hope this strike comes to a satisfactory conclusion.

32 bags. Still more to do. Busy weekend for the Pool.

Ran out of bags and energy about the same time. Be back ASAP for the rest of it.

3 bags, or the shopper bags equivalent anyway. Only had to carry 2 out. Thanks, dude; You're the best.

Had to leave early for a small family emergency (everyone is fine now) but my "be back tomorrow" has a part 2 today because there is A LOT left to do.

2 bags, never even made it to the Pool.

A good sign that you are walking into a big mess at the Pool is how much you find on your way there. A full shopper bag is a bad sign. Today I got both those garbage bags full by half the route.

Rain sent me home, be back tomorrow

13 bags, more than I had with me. Also, would have taken more time than I had.

But for this group of amazing people. Each of them helped gather and carry out all this. Like nothing i've seen before. Thank you.

8 bags. Two trips of 5 and 3. Bugged me too, but balance outweighs the little voices.

There's more work to be done, but I ran out of one of the three needs. Water. The other two are bags and time.

13 bags.

Had some help today, partly from my daughter and her boyfriend and some great visitors who helped carry this pile out. My daughter has good taste in boys, which means he came back out of the forest at the end of the day.

Thanks to everyone who helped!

The green came back early here, as if it knows how harsh the summer will be.

This is more recent. And if this is all I can pull out, (this is mostly old glass) the place its pristine. And counts as

1 kitchen bag.

This was taken the first summer I started keeping count.

Here, this is from a few years ago. This is the place.

I will do this when I can. Work and family get more day than sunlight sometimes. I'm aiming for once a week. Might miss and hit 2. The whole idea well be if I can, I will.

It's pretty and just dangerous enough to keep people's eyes open. The kids come and break a few dumb rules and touch more than grass.

Kids need a place like this. There were always so few of them and even fewer left So I do what I can to keep this one nice for them.

That's it.

Because there is this little corner of the world. It's free if you can find it and everybody wishes fewer people would. There is cleanish water and rocks old enough to mark a billion year old ocean that covered this place long before mammals were a thing.

So here's the deal. There is this little place I made a promise to about 12 years ago. About a decade ago I started a page on FB to keep track of how much trash I ended up collecting from this one spot..
