Web app in a single, portable, self-updating, vanilla HTML file: https://hyperclay.com

Mostly vanilla HTML with tailwind and vanilla JavaScript. But I'm also comfortable with React/Vue.

I start with Figma if the design is complex.

Send the UI idea to me, I will build it for you

I tried this with diffDOM and sending patches over the wire with SSE

what are the advantages of folk.js over this approach? i ran into some trouble with clients not being connected and then reconnecting after some changes had been made

how do you handle syncinh an added script tag? execute it?

yes i'm in full support of this aspect and i think it aligns perfectly with hyperclay

😍 Is this something you'd recommend at scale? Or should I run my own folkjs server? (possible?)

What are the down sides?

The best metaphors, in my experience, are the ones that arise from the subconcious when you're not fighting with but rather doing your best to cooperate with raw reality.

Raw experience is unprocessable, yes, but learning to interface with it on your owm terms can also be the most alive experience you can access on this planet.

Sometimes life will come along and rip your metaphors out of your hands and leave you with no lense to process the world through. In these moments (which can last years) it is best to learn to rest in uncertainty.

You and you alone own and are reaponsible for the metaphors you use, no matter what anyone else tells you about how much better or more right their metaphors are.
