To help, the county should consider painting ‘no stopping’ or similar markings where the bike lanes cross loading dock driveways. Maybe that’s already the plan…

Begging our civilian leaders not to return salutes from service members. Core tenant of US military leadership is civilian control. Salutes are exchanges of respect between uniformed, covered (with a hat on) service members.

having been a tourist in Palm Springs for 72 hours and accordingly now an expert on the matter…
Palm Springs would absolutely SLAP with a pedestrianized downtown—like 6-10 blocks. There’s already a parallel arterial literally one block over. Full of tourists and retail just annoying cars..

Evidently in 2023 only 12% of passengers arrived via transit. Crazy. ~73% by some kind of car (not counting 9% in rental cars).

Why people don’t take @wmata.com Metro to DCA/National airport, either entirely or for the last mile, is beyond me.
Had to be 90 mins of miserable traffic getting off GW Parkway, when you can easily get dropped off at Potomac Yard, or Crystal City, or Rosslyn, or L’Enfant Plaza…for a ~5 min ride.
