Wow. So bad on so many levels. Did a reviewer re write the opening statement of the article? And it was better than the original so they kept it in?

An absolute disgrace. VAR also horrific. Clearly just finding excuses to dish out reds to Arsenal.

100%. Richarlison only succeeds when given lots of support, time and space to shine. Not much time or space in the prem. He only looks good playing for Brazil against much weaker opponents

I dont think people realise how good he is at just ghosting around between the lines and running little angles which allows him to pop up at near post or back post on his own….extraordinary. When the ball doesn’t roll/bounce for him it can look like he’s doing nothing but when it does he’s there.

wow…..

….and when you do that he curls into the far top corner.

Yep. “These guys are starting to win a few games in a row now. We need to find an obscure rule and use it against them. What have we got lads?”

Was there a couple of seasons ago and shocked at how old it was. Was a true fore hazard tbh. Great atmosphere though!

fair question - state owners have limitless money and the ability to use political pressures on host country eg UK govt. Private owners have influence but not so much power. Limitless money can allow for flagrant financial cheating and if caught, years of court cases to drag on..

Great question. In a perfect world it would be at least 50% ownership by fans as some sort of cooperative. Then you’ll need money from somewhere to compete so it’ll have to be a rich private owner. But not a govt per se. And you? What do you think?

Good! There should be NO government state owners of football clubs.

I’d love him. The most under rated player in the league at the moment. Every touch is class. Incredible talent

great article Billy - Olabe would be great I feel. Adding Isak to the Arsenal would be incredible (maybe i’m dreaming..)

I’m John and I need to find a filter between what’s in my brain and what comes out of my mouth.

A similar scenario is playing out in low back pain research. Due to a paucity of knowledge into biomedical reasons for LBP and because LBP sufferers have depression, there’s been a huge push into psych Rx for LBP. Maybe they have depression because their back is sore?

We study large groups of people in order to have good statistical power but we treat individuals in the clinic. It’s the wicked problem that most medical professions suffer from. The results and outcomes of studies cannot be the only thing we lean upon when working clinically.

Lifting heavy! Yeah baby.

100% agree with minimal to no use of orthotics! Millions of people around the world have functional healthy feet which happen to be flatter than others. Strength in the intrinsic/ extrinsic sis so much more important than a piece of foam to force the foot into a particular shape!

Thanks Rod.

Excellent question that this talk raises. What were the bullet point answers Rod? (For those of us who can’t be there?)
