And in these otome games, the behaviour of these fictional East-Asian men (not saying real ones act like that bc Idk, bc I ain't been over there) is HIGHLY off-putting to my English cultured brain - these men be grabbing, bossy, making decisions for you without input as if you his child - I hate it.

And behaviourally, Americans are presented as finding loud, bombastic, highly optimistic (bordering on arrogant or reckless), happy-go-lucky men attractive.

English women of av-high intelligence like men who are soft-spoken, modest, and reasonably cautious and thoughtful.

Kinda like ♐ vs ♋ vibes.

But like the American beauty standard is like Captain America, and the English one is Mr. Darcy (I like the one in the film - I don't fancy Colin Whatsit from the TV Show, but many English women do).

English women's beauty and behavioural standards for men are very different to that of Americans, but you only ever really hear about Americans' in most media (bar a few English RomComs, here and there).

I plan to make an otome game and revolutionise the genre, but first I have to play tons of them so that I know all of the tropes and story beats and let my pattern recognition drink it in until I can piss easily make one that flows easily in terms of my writing it.

Thanks - I've never fancied a woman sexually but tried it on mentally and was like yeah, no, that's not for me, bc it'd ick me out (for me personally, DGAF if somebody else gay) always turn into a man and then I'd be into that, but I have romantically fancied one woman once but didn't want to F her.
