I remember our talk about how most games don't let you "turn to any page" like books do, while trying to decide how to give players all these new modes without it being overwhelming. In the end I put up some easily-vaulted walls just to organize and convey intent. like book pages! kill gameplay

tiny new game: "poke!", an unwieldy match-3. the controls are admittedly overwhelming but what can I say, I like games that make your brain hurt. enjoy!(?)

oh, and while I'm here I'll shoehorn in this other bug(?) report -- I was very confused that I couldn't push right here. I dug into the code and realized its due to the ceiling, but it feels like a bug to me

during my out-of-bounds wandering I pressed left here and put the console in an infinite loop, falling forever I think...

oh! they made the subtext explicit, mentioning "gen ai" right before saying there are "huge orders of magnitude differences between the resources available and those required for non-trivial text generation", and conclude that "monkey labour" can't replace human creativity
