Listening to music. All of it.

Geopolitics is a guilty pleasure of mine. Pro-Ukraine, left leaning.

Donald playing catch up. VdL stole a march on him. Too late.

Trading with the Eurozone seems a better idea every day.

The EUR offers a stable enviroment with clear rule of law, and with the Mercosur + India trade deals an absolutely massive free trade zone.

The USD offers nothing but inertia atm, and is using coercion to keep trade flowing in USD.

it's the vaporware grift-a-thon play.

Tesla is stupidly overvalued for a car company, and reality was catching on to that. but robotics? thats "promise big, dont bother delivering" pie in the sky stuff with which the stock price can maybe be justified. more or less.

Orban is just a blip in the time scales the EU is operating. He'll be gone in a decade max. No need for any banning, when you can simply wait him out. All he can do is shout.
January 28, 2026 at 12:42 AM
Oh, he gets that. He's just decided that debasing himself to keep the whole thing together a little bit longer is worth it, and in that respect he is right.
January 27, 2026 at 11:36 AM
Heinous. That poor tea cup is gonna need an exorcism.
January 27, 2026 at 5:27 AM
Gestapo would be giving them too much credit. They're nothing more than the equivalent of the SA.

Yes he is and everyone knows it. It doesn't matter, though. Hungary will still be there when he is gone. He can't do anything but bleat and make things awkward. He can't actually stop anything.

NATO is under far greater threat by Donald, and the EU will simply outlast him. A decade is nothing.

Of great amusement
January 27, 2026 at 1:01 AM
Because of the Hungarian people. Governments come and go. The EU is built to work on longer timeframes than election cycles.
January 27, 2026 at 12:35 AM
how about - and stay with me on this one - just having a piece of fresh fruit, then?
January 26, 2026 at 2:50 PM
he'll just get impeached for a myriad other things, then.
January 26, 2026 at 2:41 PM
I expect theatrics amounting to nothing
January 24, 2026 at 8:55 PM
The point of that would be to have that freshly restored energy infrastructure be dependent on Russian resources. Sooo, no. They get to pay for it. They don't get to do it.
January 24, 2026 at 2:25 PM
I invite donald to go there and look for penguins. He'll surely find them up in the far north.
January 24, 2026 at 1:37 PM
there won't be a Russian federation in its current form
in 50 years. Even the next 10 years are a stretch.

Given that the issue isn't money, that is a non starter
January 23, 2026 at 11:48 AM
thats a feature, not a bug.
January 22, 2026 at 10:55 AM
he can't remember what he had for brekfast yesterday
January 21, 2026 at 3:12 PM
So he's announcing politically motivated reprisals and nobody is batting an eye. Just another Wednesday, apparently...

2026 has been going on for far too many years already, and it isn't even February yet.
January 21, 2026 at 2:23 PM
Time to call in some debt, methinks. Doesn't have to be all of it, but enough for it to be a shot across the bow.
