Exactly. I sometimes document events but would never change them in such a way as to change any possible interpretation of the event. At least I would TRY to avoid that.

Most people want convenience, I get it. But also most people haven’t had a properly brewed cup made of good beans and roasting. That’s not connoisseur, that’s just good taste.

TBH, I think most master franchises have local roasters. But the quality of the raw beans is suspect, IMO.

I don’t drink a lot of coffee. At home I use beans roasted locally and sourced directly from small producers. Quality is consistently very high. When I buy out it’s at speciality coffee shops (RARELY at Charbucks,) locally owned.

In the case of Tim Hortons it’s partly a case of the company being owned by a Brazilian company.
