Always found the idea of space genuinely horrifying. Compound that horror with the knowledge that the things you are seeing/experiencing may or may not be real due to your brain actively malfunctioning AND you're alone in space? That is the zenith of terror for me.

That love & care from both of you shines through clear as day even to a novice writer like myself. As for the consistency & the progression into darkness, I feel such is inevitable given the story being told & would be somewhat troubled if it stayed tonally even or got lighter as it went on haha
