I read much the same way, but I found one book many years ago that took my breathe away with the rhythm and beauty of the language and I read more slowly as I progressed through the memoir. I didn’t want to leave it. Ivan Doig’s This House of Sky. Highly recommend.

It's what they did in Portland during the first Trump administration.

They practiced this in Portland during the George Floyd protests. He liked the idea then; he's growing more bold with it now.

Do what my kid did months ago. One of our kids and his spouse told us they only texted on Signal, so if we wanted to communicate we’d have to download it.

We believed them.

I like Signal. And I’m so old I learned to type on a manual typewriter.

Those of us who buy basics at big box stores and shove the extras in closets were pre-stocked up. We had an 8 month supply of toilet paper (bought on sale) stashed around the house.
Didn’t have the elastic I needed for mask making. :(

You are interesting to follow. Full stop. The rest is irrelevant.

Thank you.

Gift article for you, since I get 10/month and seldom share that many.

Both. The photos bring peace, but I truly value your perspective and knowledge in regards to our nation's security. You have a way of calling out issues (I like snark!) that speaks to me.

One of my fifth grade classes had 3 McKenzies (different spellings, and 3 Taylors (different spellings).
Same deal.

Larry Kaber, Algebra 1, fall of 1965. Reamed the class for laughing when I asked a question a couple minutes after his first explanation. Told them several others likely had the same ? and I was the only one courageous enough to ask. Fabulous teacher!

You have a portable clothesline! That's way cool. It can come back in before the spiders colonize it.
