I am a grandma who likes to stitch fabric into things like quilts and bags. I am a dietitian by trade and a foodie for fun. I have stacks of books and love to read and listen to podcasts. I’ve dreamt of publishing one of my stories since fourth grade.
Finished a couple Christmas aprons yesterday. Have had this project in my stash for far too many years with good intentions when purchased. Glad to have them finished.

My Brother’s T-Shirts
My sisters and I tried our hand at making T-shirt quilts. My brother wore T-shirts all the time. Rock bands, cartoon characters, but mostly Pink Floyd. He wasn’t a sports fan, so no team T-shirts. Here’s a 15-year-old UFO I finished last summer. Bubbles & Blooms is a fabric line I used in a guild brown bag block challenge. Funny how our tastes change. I loved these colors and the fabric line when I started this quilt. Now, not so much. Maybe that’s why it’s so difficult to finish UFO’s.

I was one of 40,000 who descended upon Michigan’s capital for Silver Bells in the City last night: electric light parade, Christmas tree lighting, drone light show, and fireworks.

I attended International Quilt Festival in Houston, Texas for the first time and enjoyed it immensely. Ran into Sue Nickels, whose quilt Flowerland won a ribbon for appliqué. Got to listen to Ricky Tims talk quilting and play the piano.
