Keep it out of direct sunlight and don't overwater it and you'll be golden.

Thank you and I do spend a LOT of time looking at them. They are my anesthetic. I can walk about and look at plants daily for hours without pain. It's amazing what these plants do to and for your brain and mood. It's my "free" daily therapy.

Try haworthias. I put a grow light bulb in a lamp on my desk. Try that.

If they don't have roots, no need for water. I wait 2 to 3 weeks before watering once I verify that there are roots.

I feel if that was all you were doing then they wouldn't die. Over- loving them with water kills them. Too much sun too fast can kill them. You can learn. It's the most stress relieving hobby.

I just looked through all of your slides and I have all of these plants...and more. Did you mention the strings: of dolphins, watermelons, bananas, hearts, and turtles! My turtles are almost dead. Everything else is great! So many plants!!!

I took my plant out of soil, and I put it in a bin of water for 2 days. Took it out of the water and let it dry out for a few days. I had tried everything before that but I read that mealybugs can only hold their breath for 15 minutes. I still have the plant 3 years later and she's gorgeous.

I visited this garden about 20 (or more?) years ago. How much damage was sustained there? Just the ash or was there also fire?
