@mark-carney.bsky.social I worked for the Liberal Party in the election and now feel betrayed. Pacific fisheries provide sustainable jobs compared to short lived fossil fuel sales and pipeline construction. To enter this MOU without consultation is shameful. Don't save Canada by making us American.

@mark-carney.bsky.social are we just going to lie there and take it while Trump continues to kick us in the teeth??? Since American automakers are moving away at Trump's behest, why not do something bold? Remove the tariffs with China and negotiate a deal to build Chinese eV cars in Canada.

@scan-ottawa.bsky.social We have a clear answer to the question ... @mark-carney.bsky.social has clearly picked pipelines over climate action with his advocacy for the TMX pipeline. Shame! Shame!

@mark-carney.bsky.social The “financial quagmire” of the Trans Mountain Pipeline expansion—a project whose final price tag ballooned 584% from 2012 to 2024—should serve as a cautionary tale warns the US Institute for Energy Economics and Financial Analysis (IEEFA) ieefa.org/articles/fis...
As fiscal concerns mount for Trans Mountain Expansion pipeline, Canada should take note
Today, as some private interests and public officials call for government funding to construct more pipelines across Canada to enhance oil exports, it is worth taking a closer look at the financial qu...

@mark-carney.bsky.social, please stop playing the reasonable grown up in negotiations. Perhaps this worked in the past with different US leadership but now it's time to get tough! Enough of giving it away to the bully to the south without anything to show in return. bit.ly/4npHsrb

When will @mark-carney.bsky.social learn not to grovel to the bully?!? Other world leaders have ... with positive results. "Not everyone is genuflecting to Trump – and evidence mounts that resistance, not grovelling, is by far the best way to handle this schoolyard bully." bit.ly/3HXpI7t

Really @thewalrus.ca!?! Don't you have writers who can offer better advice to deal with Trump than has-been Erin O'Toole's suggestions that Canada sign up for the ill-fated Golden Dome project or revitalize the Keystone XL pipeline??? I can read this type of drivel anytime in The National Post.

Please tell us @mark-carney.bsky.social why no mention was made of climate change in the Kananaskis Wildfire Charter. Forgive me for saying but if the excuse was the other elephant in the room, well let's just say that he had left the building. @cbcnews-rss.bsky.social @ctvnews-rss.bsky.social

Please don't blow it @mark-carney.bsky.social. We have a huge opportunity to show the world what can be accomplished with principle and fairness. Many of us worked and supported the Liberal Party for the first time. We won't do it again if we come to regret it. open.substack.com/pub/charliea...

MAGAs have their conspiracies as do oil execs with their CCS pipe dream. Is @mark-carney.bsky.social spouting CCS rhetoric to appease the oil patch or does he actually believe it will work and work soon enough to save us? He's a smart guy but even smart guys can be persuaded to drink the Kool Aid.

@mark-carney.bsky.social said these projects will not go ahead without private funding. To give the benefit of the doubt, could the PM be calling Smith's bluff? Even with no holds barred, no company would pay for a pipeline that would become a boondoggle. PM, what will it be; cunning or appeasement?

In these difficult times, Canadians need the CBC for coverage about matters in the national interest on The National...not shows about plane mishaps. Recently world leaders and NATO have discussed political issues that concern and threaten us directly. Where was the in depth reporting @cbcnews.ca?
