The inquiry procedure has been reformed in light of the Paris '24 WAG FX final. The last gymnast of a rotation/final will now have up to 2 minutes to submit an inquiry. Previously, this was up to 1 minute.

Watanabe confirms he is going to push a third time to abolish elections for Technical Committees, as the two most recent FIG Presidents have lamented the fact that the people on these committees are not there due to their ethics or technical expertise but instead due to backroom deals between NF.

Fun fact: USAGym bid for 2015 Worlds but lost the final vote to Glasgow in a 23-13 split. Paris was, inexplicably, ousted in the first round of voting.
Incidentally, the FIG has (rightly) credited Glasgow with revolutionising ART Worlds, and it's been used as a template ever since.

Wondering if this has to do with Rhys, re: representing the Republic of Ireland normally except the CWG where he represents Northern Ireland, as is his right under international treaty.

FIG Executive Committee held their meeting on 26-27 February.
Of note, no nationality change for Kovtun. If he's planning to qualify as an individual to '26 Worlds, he'll need to have his nationality change approved at least one year before definitive registration for '26 Euros

Someone should bring back Bogi's consecutive whips through to double tuck-punch front (0.20 CV).
Perhaps we need a Series Bonus on FX for acrobatic series with 3 or more different saltos?

Elena Sazonenkova on the need for a Holds CR on beam. Hstd with 2 1/4 turn to 1-arm hstd (2 sec.) should be an F.
Very few gymnasts are capable of such a series and even when we did see these types of elements, the 1-arm hstd was usually short of 2 sec. Incredibly impressive.

She was permitted to sit the judging exam.
Incidentally, judges don't get "promoted" or "demoted". That is not language anyone would use. Every brevet must resit the exam at the beginning of each cycle. There are no promotions or demotions.

People need to start being very concerned for the future of the traditional Gymnastics programme in OG, bc as things stand, it flies in the face of IOC's push for gender parity.

WOW, I've just realised that due the IOC's new gender parity requirements for both athletes and medal events, FIG has had to radically overhaul the Gymnastics event at ‘26 Youth Olympic Games to make it work.
