it'd be so much easier if it were more standardized (but obviously that's not really viable). The aggregator I looked at had all their sources tested but some were done by the pharmacy, some were done by a mutual aid network, some were like 2+ years out of date, etc.

I know this is a me thing but I think it's kinda interesting and it's not always easy to find a place to discuss - I brought it up to my therapist and she had the same reservations. fwiw idk how familiar she is though (she's super cool it might just be a blind spot)

As someone whose started looking (thanks btw) my only reservation is sourcing. Like I know stuff gets vetted and the pharmaceutical industry isn't nearly as trustworthy as it says but I think it's tough to get past the distrust of sources outside (ostensibly) trustworthy institutions

It's one of those things that's just shocking to learn that we know how to do, let alone put into practice. One day we'll get them in NA and we'll be better for it.

Without knowing anything about the actual technology in terms of how and why it works, I think maglev trains are some of the coolest tech we've ever built. I was able to ride the shinkansen and I've literally never been in a vehicle that felt that smooth despite going 200+ MPH

Never got far enough into that side of things to actually use an arduino (I fucked around with a breadboard in high school but didn't feel compelled to go further) but man that sucks. It's not even like they changed tos to be ambiguously bad, that shit's just proudly evil. Like holy shit.

As someone who still hasn't replaced their wardrobe yet, the peak man wardrobe imo is, functionally, one outfit you really like and Everything Else. I have a favorite jacket, favorite overshirt, favorite t-shirt, favorite pair of pants, favorite hat, and favorite shoes. Everything else is extra :p

Again, my summation only scratches the surface. if you do anything today, look to her legacy and see the impact she has had. you'd be hard pressed to find someone more influential than her despite not being the biggest name.

and, of course, she was a trans woman in a space hostile to that identity (she came out in the 2000s). as a trans person, aspiring game dev, and former esports player + commentator, i cannot express how much her contributions mean. we all stand on the shoulders of giants, and she absolutely was one.

she was a fantastically talented programmer, doing porting jobs most famously for id, where she practically single-handedly ensured the 3do doom port shipped *at all* (see @stopskeletons.bsky.social www.youtube.com/watch?v=yxF1...). she has credits until *last fucking year*
