I’m getting closer to something…I can feel it. My brush strokes are getting looser and my perspective wasn’t too bad. I had to keep telling myself not to get into the nitty gritty details and just let go.

I rarely take my art out and about. Because I can’t just do my sketchbook, pencil and a micron. What if I want color…who knows what color(s) I’ll want??!!…and materials! Do I want some oil pastels?? Maybe colored pencils…are paints reasonable? You get the picture literally and figuratively #art

Alas I forgot to post this till now! But if anyone can make it it’s a great group!

Have a submission date of 2/21… but imposter syndrome hits hard and I’m like a deer in headlights…frozen. I can’t seem to produce anything but no problem making a sketchbook fish 😃

Blunt oil pastels and a small sketchbook perhaps is not the best way to practice face proportions but it sure makes you not be precious about it. He looks wonky but I think it’s charming.

I’ve been calling it art block but it’s been going on too long. I can’t seem to break through the mental barriers preventing me from being authentically myself and it’s stifling my creativity. So for now I create fish. They make me smile. Baby steps.
