Another pizza I made. This one is a more basic cheese pizza. Homemade sauce, mozzarella, baked and then sprinkled with basil and crushed red pepper with a light drizzle of olive oil.

I forgot to post this here, oops. I made pizza.
This style of pizza is called Ferdinando, it's a recipe from the 18th century. Olive oil, garlic, crushed red pepper, oregano, sea salt, then it's baked and after you add shredded pecorino and a little more olive oil. It's extremely good.

Brutal Complex is one of the most stunningly beautiful RPG Maker games I've ever played, I was blown away by the demo when it first released years ago, and to hear it was developed in conditions like that is wild. I wish the demo had an English translation. I hope it's finished one day.

These are homemade katsu musubis. I made the katsu chicken from scratch.
The rice has salt and toasted sesame seeds in it, with furikake sprinkled on top. The katsu chicken was brushed with a heavy amount of yeobo (spicy hawaiian teriyaki) sauce.

The #OFF prologue fucks severely I fear. I really love the new music in context, I love the borders in @mortisghost.bsky.social 's modern artstyle, I love the new animations, and I LOVE LOVE LOVE the new UI, it's so good, god I hope I can make UI like this some day.

Today's attempt at pizza turned out super good, but the crust was still too dark. I've used different dough every time, that's probably making it harder. It was pepperoni, bacon, mushroom, and basil, with a spicy tomato sauce.

My new food I'm making over and over and over until I get get it perfect is pizza. Unfortunately, I am really bad at it and burn the crust a lot. They still taste amazing, just not so much on the edges. Also I suck at stretching the dough. So much to improve at

Some more #photography on my way home this morning

A dark and high contrast scene of an empty feels overrun with sage and bushes. In the distance lights shine like stars. A dim red light seeps through the cracks in the clouds, and a single small spot revealing the red and pink clouds above almost look like a wound in the dark sky.

Painted Easter eggs yesterday. This was the only one that turned out how I wanted it. I was trying to go for the look of blood in water, and it turned out amazingly.

I'll finish off with some praise. This game has a wonderful soundtrack, and I'm always excited to hear more of it. The art for the upgrades are exceedingly beautiful, I would give good money for a tarot deck illustrated by @philtacular.bsky.social in this style.

The camera needs better clamping. There are places where just by moving your mouse the camera will move you out of frame, or show outside the bounds of the world where there aren't textures, or even just hides the beautiful environment more than it probably should.

Sometimes white text was put over top of cards with cream paper and bright colors, and it was very difficult to read. That's a big accessibility oversight, that text definitely needs an outline.
A card with the text "Backdraft Incense: Slaying enemies with fire causes an eruption" over top of it. The text is white and hard to read against the bright background of the card.

Before I get to any of my critiques, I just want to say that this games delivers on it's stunning visual style. The creator is obviously a very talented pixel artist and uses lighting, colors, and shaders really effectively to create a neon dark fantasy hellscape.
Gorgeous neon red and pink tendrils and walls of flesh twist around a backdrop of stone brick castles, with a glowing, beating heart half out of frame. A neon rose and pitch black distorted hellscape with an animalistic demon of the same colors towering over you, and a pile of skulls with pink light beaming up from under them behind you. A colossal pure white ring hangs in the sky rather than the sun or moon. A toxic neon lime green forest with dark brown leaves and trees and vines. A fiery orange factory with lava and rusty metal pipes, floors, cauldrons, and gears. The sky burns red in the distance.
