This friendship is such a great representation of strong black women and strong queer women and all of it is told in this crazy, raw and messy way that helps me appreciate the character's journey.

I love that we get a happy ending for the queer character and she never feels like the token gay because withing the group Grace goes through her loving woman moment and even when they break up it's not like "it was a phase" story because even that story gets a good ending in season 3.

Not only is it a queer actress playing a queer character but Ty's journey is complex and real and crazy and messy but her character growth between season 1 and 3 is what I appreciate about this story.
