One can only hope that sometime the US is able to make a comeback from this current mafia state. Trashing all relationships with our friends and being besties with dictators shows that the oath of office to protect the US from any harm is worth absolutely nothing.

Newsom has nothing to win here, as long as the media is helping Trump completely blowing things out of proportion. If you watch MSM (god beware Fox), one would get the idea that half of LA is on fire, which is exactly what Trump wants. But in reality protest violence is (thankfully) sparse.
