That means that if your advocacy is only calling reps/showing up to town halls and going to a march or protest, you're probably not going to see the results you want. This is not meant to demoralize! But start thinking/doing outside that box, and ask how your goals will be realized by your actions.

If we are looking at what published science tells us, we know that mass protests and demonstrations don't usually cause change on their own, and that the US representative system is often non-responsive to its constituents.

Was involved in litigation around Bears Ears all through the T1 term. All for Biden to undo the illegal shrinkage (yay!), but not to add any legal guardrails or protections to stop it from happening again. I hope this Stand Up For Science sees better outcomes.
