Public schools, being funded through taxes, should be kept separate from any type of faith-based teaching. I say this as a Christian. To twist faith and politics together is like trying to twist hell and heaven together. Politics is of man; faith is of God.

Not entirely correct. Those are instructions on how to curse an unfaithful wife. The only thing that comes close is Exodus 20:13, Deuteronomy 5:17, and Matthew 5:21-22. Now Jesus says in Matthew that sin is a matter of the heart and motive.
