Just submitted my latest piece for publication - written together with two other brilliant minds. If all goes well, by December, I will know if it has been approved for a dossier on Social Justice and Global Religions. Fingers crossed 🍀

Me and Plinio are already on our way for the conference. Arrived in Salvador and now to the final leg of our journey (to João Pessoa). A full day of planes and coffee.

A 6km run in a beautiful blue sky day lifted me up. Tomorrow a plane to catch for a conference in Joao Pessoa, near wonderful beaches. ANPTECRE here I come!

Next week I will be presenting "A tree without roots: an analysis of the meditation object given by the seven women to Indra in the 佛說七女經" at the 9th International Colloquium of Philosophy (State University of Sao Paulo). It will be my first presentation as a Dr.!

After a long time without posting, I am now a Dr.! A huge thank you to the examiners Robert Thurman, Vesna Wallace, Marcelo Carneiro, and Daniel Omar. Also, thank you to my supervisor, Jung Mo Sung and co-supervisor Mario Aguilar. Thank you to my beloved Plinio and dear friends. It was cum laude!

I can call myself privileged because I was invited by my friend and supervisor Jung Mo Sung to his son's wedding celebration, and he articulated the tables so me and Plinio (my partner) could sit together with Analzira Nascimento (a legend!) and her sister.

Chapter 3 of my thesis is going well! Arendt has been my companion for the last couple of months. In these conversations with her, I can imagine what she would say about right-wing politics, war, and Human Rights violations going on.
I can see a Buddhist interpretation of Arendt being birthed.

Today was an amazing day. Had the opportunity to listen and learn from Ivone Gebara. As part of the Brazilian Feminist Theologians network, it was a wonderful moment.

A good tea and a good book make a day perfect. Cannot recommend enough this book from Peg Birmingham, "Hannah Arendt and Human Rights".

Having access to books, journals, etc. is a reality in the Global North, but in the Global South, many universities struggle to give conditions to their students. This reality should change. I am having an opportunity many don't have, so I'll struggle to give the community back. Book #1
