a while back i severed part of this psu's power cord while trying to separate it from an egpu enclosure that i gorilla taped it to. it's not modular so i think it's now unusable. at least the scratch pattern i unintentionally made with the kitchen knife i used to separate them looks cool

sequencing convincing-sounding wind instruments (trumpet, saxophone, flute) on a tracker or daw is very draining. with pianos, guitars, and synths you trigger them once and they just get quieter over time. winds however can be as loud as they want and as they get louder their timbre can CHANGE.

Notes played on pianos and guitars always get quieter from their initial volume, but notes played on trumpets and saxophones can get quieter or louder at any point after they start. These brass instruments are capable of very expressive playing, but their nuances are very difficult to capture in music production software without high-end plugins, or extensive sample recording and very creative manipulation of those samples.

I actually don't mind this at all. reading light is a glocusent brand hammerhead light (the one advertised with "high CRI") with the clip removed and stuck to the back with 3m dual lock fasteners (or similar)
Part of the beginning of Final Fantasy 6 for Game Boy Advance, with a teal-haired woman in armor in the town of Narshe at night. It's using the color restoration patch on a flashcart, despite the unlit GBA screen being used; due to its gamma issues, the dark areas of buildings are hard to see, and the only easily visible elements are the woman's eyes and some steam coming out of a building. Same scene but the reading light stuck to the GBA is turned on, making the buildings easier to see. It's dimmer in person.

i legit feel that this stock gba with a reading light stuck to the back is more comfortable for gba games than the ds phat. the pixels are larger and the light is pretty good at evenly lighting the screen (close to full charge.) the colors also don't wash out when i hold it close to me

highkey kinda wish more artists in commercial art and on here, even some other scalies(!), would give at least a bit more consideration to the head and body shapes of some real lizards. i should be fucking sleeping right now but i guess i am not
Two sets of equally crude drawings of 4 anthro lizards each. In the left set, a chubby gidgee skink with a pinecone-esque tail does… something, that looks like falling sideways; a generic anole solemnly looks onward, their head resting against their arm; a komodo dragon gazes warmly at you with their hands folded; and a green iguana scratches their chin with their hand that I visibly failed to draw. The right set has four identical "reptile" characters who all have the same face, which resembles a shrunken down pop culture T-rex, while doing the same stiff "standing while crossing arms and looking smug" pose. These are supposed to be "redesigns" of the 4 lizards from before: the gidgee skink has a smaller belly and comically thin arms, the anole just looks like the Geico mascot, the komodo dragon has exaggerated "feminine" features like a large waist and breasts, and the green iguana has exxagerated "masculine" features like muscular arms and a defined chest.

The same anglerfish person as in the image above, but rendered in a more cartoonish style in MS Paint. Compared to the other image, they aren't wearing the coat, their tail is longer, their teeth are thicker and actually colored in, and their eyes are larger. In retrospect this original design to me screams "walrus" more than it does "anglerfish"
