I saw this @nottmplayhouse.bsky.social last night. It was really entertaining with a brilliantly staged zoom meeting. The audience was mystifyingly small - so book now for humour and to watch the fabulous Adele James saying it all with just one eyebrow!

Small ceramic cat. It’s made of yellow clay, with a black slip. The face is light with black whiskers and the rest of the body is black (except for the damaged bits). Its tail is curving over its back and it’s posed as if ready to pounce. If it was alive it would probably be wiggling its bottom ready to pounce.

May we all experience some of the joy of an elderly collie with a snuffle ball.

Saw this last night. Very powerful and thought provoking. Power, love, envy, hate. A play for our times written in 1592.
A dark stage. In the centre a coffin on a bier covered in a red flag with three golden leopards on it. Atop the coffin a crown, orbs and sceptre, with a huge golden crucifix at one end. Two shafts of light highlight the crown. Front page of a theatre programme. The men clutching and about to kiss one another in a passionate embrace. A cactus so covered in long white hairs you can’t see the body of the plant. On the top is a ring of six bright pink flowers with yellow pollen in the centres. It’s in bright sunshine and just looks lovely.

I had a fab day at the Northern Ceramics Society Spring meeting in Keele. Great speakers and loads of lovely pots from the 18th to 21st centuries. A huge amount of knowledge in the room too - if you have a query about British ceramics, someone there may well have the answer!

Interesting to see money spent on ‘return on investment’ is still more than money spent on ‘maintain a reliable service’.

@severntrentwater.bsky.social may not be the worst, but it’s damn annoying to have your bill go up £120 in a year when the village has raw sewage in the streets when it rains.

Very frosty in the park this morning. I’ve not seen it creeping up the grass stems before. Looks like hair follicles.

Off to a conference tomorrow. Have spent so much time in the office recently I’m thinking of arriving late so I can cuddle the cat for an hour before leaving. I’ve barely seen him!

Simple suggestion for saving water: all public and work toilets to have a sign saying which button is which.

Does big button = longer flush, or big = short flush and therefore larger to be obvious? #sustainability
