The first 2 quests and their reward/texts, this is where things are going to both speed up and slow down, I am writing out every single quest and their reward texts, trying to create coherent storylines that are legible (other languages will come some day) #gamedev #solodev #indiedev

I have finally had time to dev and holy crap im just hitting homer after homer, fixed like 7 issues with my game AND got the Quest system organized so i can finally start working on the Early access release.

I think this is the only social media platform that I would still call social, most devoid of an agreeable climate without intense amounts of work to fine tune the algorithms that proved content.

I have the bones of a story ready for my FPS game, mission 1-9 laid out in bullet forms I’ll break them down later into mission beats so each one flows nicely.

But this is going to be a hell of an undertaking, I literally have to start working on this now while I finish up my other game.

little tweaks, added some rough textures and some shelving along the back of the tavern so players have an organized space to display stuff if they don't want to cram it all on tables

welp got the new tavern layout set up, things appear to be scaled correctly so now it's onto developing the player AI.

very sims esc, (thanks to my buddy @notcursedgames.bsky.social for the idea) the players character/s will wander the tavern at first, and eventually they'll be able to give orders

I HAVE SO MUCH WORK TO DO.
- I've been absent from game dev for a while cause life.
- I have some time and the drive to work on it again, so here we are, that being said, I realized the scope of ATOYO was well beyond the bounds and have reeled it in but that requires some new stuff

it's been a minute since i've posted here, mostly because i haven't DONE any game dev, but now i have and now im stuck, got a wave based shooter all built and ready to go mechanically now i jsut need to make it look pretty

I had such a hang up on ATOYO that my brain short circuited and i ended up doing a bunch of other things... i sat down for an hour today and solved the issue that wasn't an issue at all.... im annoyed but at least im back to work

Sprint 5 is nearly done, I’m working on the menu system so players can set their desired menu at the start of each day

now this could pose a problem, the tableware works that's not it.... it's microscopic, even full screen it's tiny, im going to have to add in some kind of zoom feature as well as a move & tilt up/down control to the camera

The old tables, and chairs are in, all the old weapons, now i have to implement table decor like candles and plates and bowls and junk

experiancing the weirdest bug, if i put a panel in an array then the buttons on the panel stop working, taking it out of the array, or above or below the object that holds it enables the buttons again..... i don't get it

pretty proud of how this came out, it looks really good and works as intended, you can purchase additional inventory with this panel, now it might get a bit .... bigger as the game gets bigger but that should work for now. #indiegame #solodev #solodev #unitydev #indiedev

ugh, windows saw fit to restart my computer over night and i lost some progress, nothing super detrimental but could windows just be an OS and stop trying to be a multimedia platform or anything else, just be an operating system

ok now i should go to bed, made the script up that will control the decoration buttons intractability, it's pretty self contained and works without issue, tomorrow i'll do the unlocking thing.
