You inspired me to tweak your message and send my own civil protest against her husband’s appalling behavior. I’m from SC, so she won’t care, but this just can’t be ignored by any of us, Nebraskans or otherwise!

As a retired educator, this just breaks my heart. Of course this mother has the right to use the word; however, she should also suffer the consequences when she is publicly shamed or shunned for using a word that is considered vile and pejorative in an inclusive, compassionate society.
