Thought it was about time I finished these two smooth rats and the raccoons. I didn't finish the raccoons

I suppose I'm doing better today than usual; made progress on the sisyphean work task (ugghhh) started the replacement plate for my carrying case and wore out the powersaw battery while monitoring the printer so ... that's hobby time, right?

I have burned so many freezes but today I'm trying to start back on it. I finished the scales and did all of the red at hobby workshop when they ran out of event minis. I also remember to put out milk and cookies on my hobby desk for good #WarHammer reveals tomorrow

Days have been hard. Find great relief tonight by switching to a larger brush (W&N Foundation 5 Watercolour) and blasting out the last of these capes.

Big day. Did my time with these scales and claws ...then realize I missed some claws on this mount, and, some robes on the first gal. Ugghhh.

I finished the brown straps and started on the little scales. I like them like this. I don't know if I'm going to do the spikes and claws, but, I think that it's likely I will use a wash to bring the scales down and make them look more like part of the flesh.

I started painting the straps. That red is making it impossible to see the straps. Hekk.

I forgot to post last night (I did the painting and the language lesson) ... and ... doing the "drybrush slapping" style here is ... okay ... but it really sucked for edges on the blue.

- no stupid dungeon tiles 🙂

Because "you'll never get ahead following the leader" I tried something different; I painted the blue and red torso with a small drybrush and expected to use the detailing steps (painting straps, trim, metallic, etc) as a way to correct the imprecise nature of drybrush

Did the "under shading" which took FOREVER because my paint was dried, the backup paint had separated and ... third pot was fine. I got them all in magazines awhile ago but ... but seriously!?

... that's Dwarf Flesh the wrong way around ...
... and I didn't include Reikland Flesh or Basic Flesh because I up on those shades and painted over them ...
