Nickelodeon has their own in-house attractions team; maybe they wanted to do something distinct or with a new trademarkable name for the Universal version?

One of the reasons a “Big Bear” style coaster is rumored and so popular with fans is because it could really run 2x trains during Candylane. That’s a huge deal since it would really fill a gap otherwise occupied in other seasons by Comet/Trailblazer/Lighting Racer (which don’t run in the cold).

Hersheypark only opens half the coasters (7/14). Candymonium and Wildcat’s Revenge run two trains, Looper runs one/usually gets long waits (plus JRR which only has one). Laff Trakk, Cocoa Cruiser, and Wild Mouse are open, but that’s about it.
Fine for locals but don’t come out of your way for it.

Yeah that stinks. Busy days go so much quicker but slow days are also good to banter with guests, although not everyone is outgoing or always in the mood to do that.
(This attitude also seemed to always happen at SeaWorld Orlando)

Never had a problem with Dollywood ops, although they usually skew older employees than other parks (thanks in part to their Workcamper programs). I’ve only been there from fair to medium busy days, though.
