I planted tomato seeds on Saturday, and many varieties are already germinating on Wednesday morning.

One germinated citrus seed out of 20 has popped up! I’m not sure what exactly it is, because it was taken from a piece of rotten fruit my son picked up during a garden walk. I’m expecting flying dragon but hoping for kumquat. The future leaf shape should give us a better idea. #growfood #gardening

In the winter, I don’t feed the goldfish their normal fish food, but I do drop in handfuls of this Carolina Azolla - Carolina Mosquito Fern - from the bog filter, which they gobble up when the water warms on sunny afternoons.
