My son had a neurology appointment this week. None of the options are good ones and my heart is so very heavy.

Here he is: my sunshiny empathetic love. All the thoughts, prayers, and kind energy appreciated.

Because everything’s really predictable and dumb right now, here are #bees on my bush. 30 seconds of zen.

A very important question and my answer.

Mostly spite.

In much better news, dinner consisted of this cherry tomato marinara style sauce and tomato/basil/ mozzarella. All veggies from my garden!

Tomorrow I tackle more sauces and a fresh pico

I have so much zucchini and tomato. The garden is going well I’d say.
August 17, 2025 at 2:51 PM
Zucchini juice looks like a devilish brew. What do I do with it?
August 10, 2025 at 6:00 PM
Today I made things with the first harvest of tomatoes. Tomorrow I get my kids back from their dad and time becomes more real and pressing. I hope I can keep up learning about food preservation, something we will need to do in the near future.

Today we made more extract. One Tahitian vanilla about a month out from ready, three Madagascar vanilla just made, one blackberry just made, one lemon, and an almond, each a couple weeks from ready.

I’ve been off line the last few days as my best friend of 30 years (except for a five year period when we had different life paths to explore) is visiting.

Meanwhile my blackberry bush is in full harvest mode. Here’s some dehydrating.

My super good boy, living his best hound life.

Silly pumpkin ready in July.

That should tell us just a bit about how screwed up our weather patterns are. Yum, but also #collapse
July 28, 2025 at 6:43 PM
Everything is awful, but at least he’s a good boy.
July 21, 2025 at 11:31 PM
Berries! The blueberries are almost done now and the blackberries are just starting!
July 18, 2025 at 8:49 PM
I’m going to say that these vegan gluten free sugar cookies are absolutely delicious.
July 14, 2025 at 6:21 PM
I’ve been a bit MIA here lately as the summer doldrums set in. Here’s a short video of my garden where I spend as much time as humanly possible.

This is what happens when you fire NOAA staff and scientists and ground weather balloons.

Elections have dire consequences. Here is yet another one
#collapse
July 5, 2025 at 3:51 AM
So much doom. So much horror. At least my sunflowers have a reason to be oblivious.
#collapse #fascism

My favorite of my dads paintings. It’s called compassion and it feels exactly right in this moment.

Me and my sign. Over a thousand showed up in my rural county. #NoKings
June 14, 2025 at 7:34 PM
Here’s what I wrote: it has come to my attention that your company is allowing the gearapo to use your buses to harass and terrorize residents of the US. You should rethink your position. Think about what happened to Target and that wasn’t openly abetting fascism. Do better.

Flying today. Have only seen three people in masks in two airports and one plane. Covid is not over ya idiots.
June 4, 2025 at 8:33 PM
In today’s #autistic fun time, I made this vegan gluten free lemon pound cake and played with glass shards for a gift
June 2, 2025 at 12:09 AM
The news is bleak if you know where to look and don’t get sucked in by hopium. Just the moves by DHS and Dept of State would be bad enough, but the #collapse is everywhere.

So I pause and stand amid my blackberry bramble and note the pollinators. And breathe. For now
