Sure theres builds you can go for, but I really hate auto-attacks, it just feels very unsatisfying
This isnt really theyre fault, but since theres no genre tag for them on steam, VS's easily get mixed up with twin-sticks and smups, games that have almost opposite gameplay!

Well then what would you do about this? Make Linux have some sort of authority that can revoke access? Do a Butlerian Jihad, but for all computers? Is this an issue that can actually be solved?

With Windows vs Linux, Microsoft is harvesting your data, and taking your money + data to entrench their monopoly and support murderous regimes
If Linux does something comparable that they are directly responsible for (and not just being used since they are free), I am unaware of it

Its just a big steam deck so yes, use whatever you want.
Only caveat is that bluetooth sucks for a lot of controllers so you might want a cable or an adapter
