Question for fellow paediatricians, would you routinely do an MRI in childhood absence epilepsy when you have a confirmatory EEG? The only strange thing in this case is that is early onset in a 2yo. Responding well to ethosuximide also.

Had a haematologist suggest routinely checking factor 13 in unexplained bleeding / bruising with normal coagulation studies (child protection perspective). Does anyone routinely do this?

Toowoomba Hospital, about 90 mins from Brisbane by car. I worked there in 2018 and was so excited to finally get to go by air! It’s on top of the Great Dividing Range so often retrievals have to go by road due to fog.
