Here, again, I must draw a comparison to Portugal. After the cork fires, water reservoirs for the fire units were placed strategically around "hotspots." But I guess the upcoming "solution" will be to have a bunch of non-imigrants (persona non-gratta) raking the forests... ^^

I don't understand how an area near the coast can run out of water. I understand the whole salt issue, but if Spanish hotels can install private desalination units for their pools, it makes no sense that there is no deposit for desalinated water in CA, specifically for this purpose. Fires do happen.
