The talks have been organised by a collective known as Acts 17 Collective – “Acts” standing for "Acknowledging Christ in Technology and Society". The nonprofit group was founded last year by Michelle Stephens, a healthcare start-up executive and the wife of Trae Stephens, a partner at Thiel's Founders Fund, a venture capital firm. Stephens is also co-founder of Anduril Industries, which makes and sells autonomous weapons systems.

According to a dude I went to summer camp with, the Israelis will, in fact, be greeted as liberators.
The end game here is using this as leverage without our allies in the region who share the same concerns as we do and are terrified of a hegemonic Iran with nuclear weapons and ballistic missile capabilities like we’ve seen. We must be careful in minimizing the damage to economic infrastructure. More than 50% of Iranians want the ayatollahs gone. We need to get to a point where the nuclear program is gone or far delayed and let the people take it from there. In the Kurdish regions there has already been a mass output of resistance against the regime. And you’d be surprised at the mass amount of social media contact between Iranians and Israelis - Iranians hoping Israel does what the people have not been able to do or didn’t get the support like in 2009 at the beginning of the Obama administration and the Green Revolution. Iran is not Iraq and it’s not Libya - it’s a storied country with a rich history and yearning to continue that past. It’s very similar to Israel in that sense and the Jewish people. And up until 1979, we had excellent relations with Iran; it was one of the first countries Israel reached out to post 1948. We have no land conflict, no conflict over resources. Naturally - as was in the past - Israel and Iran should be allies. I hope this will once again be the case.
