I went to school with kids like him. I count myself lucky we didn’t have shootings because my middle and high school environments were very toxic. We certainly had some kids who were like the typical school shooter.

I've been an academic (grad school then faculty) for 20 years, and for the life of me I don't understand why universities host pundit speaking engagements. And most of them get paid more for a single, poorly reasoned but entertaining lecture than adjuncts get for a teaching a full semester.
